Here is how to open a WebP file in Photoshop (Windows)

  1. Close the Photoshop application first if it is being used
  2. Download the WebPShop plug-in from GitHub. It is currently available for Mac and Windows.
  3. Copy the WebPShop.8bi plug-in to your Photoshop installation folder. Example: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017\Plug-ins
  4. If so, Photoshop will now automatically open WebP files like any other image format.
