The New 2025 BMW X6 Release Date
The BMW X6 SUV is set to return to the market in 2025. This new model will hit the roads in the second half of 2024, with a few enhancements. Mild improvements to the front fascia will improve its appearance.
Furthermore, the interior should be updated with new technology, more driver-assist technologies, and more standard features overall. Under the hood, we don’t expect any improvement. However, there is no need to, as the BMW X6 is one of the most powerful SUVs in its class, particularly the X6 M Competition variant.
BMW X6 Engine Specifications
The all-new 2025 BMW X6 has a beautiful look and an impressive powertrain range. While there are no big engine upgrades, they are unnecessary given that the competition cannot match the performance of this powerful SUV. The base trim level features a 3.0-liter turbo-six engine that produces 375 horsepower and over 400 lb-ft of torque.
The xDrive AWD system is standard, and an 8-speed gearbox delivers power to the axles. There is also an available V8 engine, which has not been updated for the 2025 model year. This engine develops 523 horsepower and 552 pound-feet of torque. Only the M Performance package can outperform this output. Keep in mind that the V8 engine costs much more than the standard engine.
Exterior and Interior Changes
The anticipated 2025 BMW X6 will get a mid-cycle update. For starters, the distinctive grille remains same in terms of shape and size, but the headlamps have been updated to be more sleek and eye-catching. New air intakes have also been installed to make the BMW X6 appear even more aggressive. In addition, new parts will be designed exclusively for the M60i.

The X6 features redesigned rear lights identical to those used on the smaller X3 and X5 models. The quad exhaust pipes also contribute to the athletic appearance. To complete the makeover, BMW has updated the X6’s colour palette, which now includes Frozen Pure Grey, Skyscraper Grey, Brooklyn Grey, and Blue Ridge Mountain. The M package, on the other hand, includes the popular Isle of Man Green colour, which is also available in the X3 series.
BMW X6 M Competition Review
The high-performance 2025 BMW X6 M Competition is unrivalled in terms of power. While there are a few more powerful SUVs on the market, the German SUV clearly stands out. It has a 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 600 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful SUVs on the market.
While the latest edition is not yet available, enthusiasts expect that engineers will be able to increase its power. If not, there’s still the Competition option, which adds 17 horsepower. The gas-guzzling X6 M accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
2025 BMW X6 Price and Release Date
The price of the new 2025 BMW X6 will rise, although not significantly. The base model costs about $73,000. Furthermore, the optional V8 engine will raise the price by almost $20,000. The X6 M is the most costly model, costing more than $130,000. BMW will debut a new X6 SUV in the third quarter of 2024.
